2nd Saturday Recap

This month for 2nd Saturday we focused on Designing with Punches.

On the above page, I used one of the new Martha Stewart punches. These come in a set that consists of a straight border punch and a corner punch. You can use them separately or punch all around your page. (Notice the photo matte). The corner punch was also used to make the scalloped design around the circle element. The banner was made by using a diamond punch, then cutting the pieces in half.Martha Stewart "Double Loops" Around the Page Punch.

On this page designed by Chris Larsen, she used an assortment of flower punches to create the border along the bottom.

An EK Success punch was used to make the scalloped border on this layout. This punch also has an embossing feature.

Two different scalloped circle punches were used to create the layered flowers on the above layout.

On this page designed by Stephanie, she punched the center out of the flowers using a 1/2" circle punch. She also used a square punch to create her own film strip element.

In this layout, a circle punch was used to create tags for the fun title.

Try using shapes, such as triangles, to create unique flower accents.

Like many of your scrapbooking tools, punches can be used in different ways to create one-of-a-kind accents. So play around with them a little and see what creative things you come up with!

Happy Scrapping!!!!
