New Cosmo Cricket!

Two new lines from Cosmo Cricket have just arrived in our scrapbooking department. These double-sided papers paired with stickers sheets and black chipboard make it easy to create one-of-a-kind projects.

Jack's World is such a cute line! It reminds me of old-fashioned toys. Here is a really simple layout...
Even though Jack's World is a "boy" line, there are a couple of "sister" papers as well. Here's a fun layout using the big sticker sheet and the strip tease borders. Isn't she pretty?!

Mr. Campy is the 2nd line of papers and accessories. It's perfect for the end of summer when you might have some time to sit, relax, and scrap some of those outdoor pictures. I really like the fact that they are versatile enough to work for any project. The black chipboard accents are really fun to work with. You can use them plain, layer die cut stickers over the top, or embellish them in other ways. For some great ideas on how to use Blackboard, hop on over to Cosmo Cricket's blog . (You may have to scroll down a little bit). Happy Scrapping!

Another Die Cut Idea

Since August is almost over, I am posting another idea for our die cut of the month. Just to remind you, we are highlighting a die each month. This curly ribbon border is the one for August.

Our Idaho Falls designers created this project from a thin canvas board. A pocket was created with heavy cardstock where a memo book or tag can be tucked inside. The ribbon border die was used to cut flower stems from thick chipboard. A negative image of the border (the paper that is left after you have cut it out) was used to trim the top edge of the pocket. Cute, cute ideas!

Die Cut of the Month

We are excited to announce a new program at both our Idaho Falls and Rexburg stores called "Die Cut of the Month." Each week we will be highlighting new designs from our die cutting centers and giving you ideas on how to use them for paper crafting and home decor projects. It's amazing what you can do with a simple die cut!

For the month of August, we are focusing on this cute ribbon border.
Our designer from the Idaho Falls store created this layout using the ribbon border as balloon strings. She also cut a round scallop from shiny silver paper and decorated it with Bistro Chalk Markers and a cupcake sticker to make a mylar balloon. Also note that instead of using die cut letters, she used the negative image that was left to create tags for her title. Lots of cute ideas here!

Stay tuned for more ideas using this versatile ribbon border!

Card Class 8/21/08

Joey's card class is this week in our Rexburg store. Here are her cute, cute cards! I love the fun shapes! You can make all four cards for only $5. Class starts at 6:00 p.m.
